Body found as police investigate separate assault

Police have found the body of a man while attending reports of an assault in Scunthorpe.

Officers were called to an area off Mary Street in the town at around 2am this morning where they found a A 21-year-old man who had suffered serious head injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment.Whilst at the scene, the body of another man was found nearby.

A cordon has been set up while police investigate the circumstances.
