The body of a dead Minke whale on Felixstowe beach won't be removed until Wednesday

The body of a MInke whale that washed up on Felixstowe beach will be removed on Wednesday.

Suffolk Coastal Norse has received official authorisation from the Marine Management Organisation for its removal.

The UK Cetacean Strandings Investigation Programme have taken samples for testing.

Removal will be dependent on tide times and the situation will continue to be assessed on an ongoing basis.

Two other whale carcasses washed up or seen on the Suffolk coast are not thought to be related.
