Rather cloudy with scattered showers through the day, some perhaps heavy. A few bright spells are also likely.

The highest wind gust recorded in the UK was 76 mph in the Warcop Range in Cumbria.

Showers largely dying away as the night goes on, becoming dry for most.

Winds will become light and clear spells should develop, perhaps with some fog developing in places.

Fairly cloudy during the morning, but largely dry.

Cloud is likely to thin and break at times, especially later, allowing some sunshine. Light northeasterly winds.

Mainly dry and bright during Thursday and Friday, with chilly northeasterly winds.

Probably cloudier in the south later Friday.

Cloud spreading northwards on Saturday with mist and drizzle in places.
