Wales This Week: Coronavirus - Our Changing Nation episode 5
On Wales This Week, we find out how the coronavirus is affecting the tourism industry , which is worth more than six billion pounds to the welsh economy each year. A usual bank holiday would normally see a boost to those working in the industry, but with coronavirus still locking down the country, it's been quite different. Dafydd Elis-Thomas, Deputy Minister for Tourism, tells Jonathan Hill about what the Welsh Government is doing to protect the industry.
Also on the programme, we look at the impact of reduced human activity on the environment. Records show that levels of emissions in Cardiff City Centre have fallen by half in the last month, and many are using their free time to reconnect with nature. But, it's not all good news as 60% of local authorities in Wales say they've seen an increase in fly-tipping.
