A plastic bottle and a split second is all it takes for the life of an acid attack victim to change forever - and it appears that this frightening new trend is on the rise. In recent weeks, a spate of acid attacks have rocked the country, sparking fears over the ease at which these crimes can be carried out.
Andreas Christopheros was the victim of an acid attack in December 2014, when in a case of mistaken identity, a man threw acid in Andreas’ face on the doorstep of his family home.
Andreas joins us today to tell us about his ordeal and to explain why he’s calling for tougher sentencing in cases of crimes with corrosive substances.

Check the surrounding area is safe before approaching
Douse victim with water - at least 60 litres, including flushing out inside of eyelids
