Who is Tommy Robinson, and what does he stand for?

His face is splashed all over today’s newspapers, but who exactly is Tommy Robinson? For a start, his real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon. He’s the former English Defence league leader who was previously jailed for contempt of court and breaching the terms of a suspended sentence. Yesterday, he was freed after winning an appeal against his sentence - this is until a judge can make a final decision upon his retrial.
