When is Alison presenting This Morning?

Alison will present This Morning every Friday alongside Dermot O'Leary from 8 January at 10am.

How did Alison Hammond become famous?

Alison Hammond first found fame in 2002, when she was a contestant on Channel 4's reality show Big Brother. Although Alison was only in the Big Brother House for 15 days, and the second person to be evicted, she managed to capture the hearts of the nation - not least when she fell through a glass table!

Two weeks after her eviction, Alison joined This Morning for a three-month stint as our showbiz reporter - and the rest is history.

But viewers searching for Alison's first-ever TV appearance need to travel back to the eighties, as the budding actress actually starred with Sting in television film Artemis '81 when she was just six years old, along with her mother Maria and older brother Nicky.

How long has Alison been presenting on This Morning?

Alison's This Morning debut on 31 January 2003 saw her rolling around on a bed to put a mattress to the test!

Eighteen years on, Alison has co-presented alongside Phillip Schofield, Rylan Clark-Neal and of course Dermot O'Leary, interviewed the most famous faces on the planet including Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Mariah Carey and Beyoncé - oh, and married The Rock on air!

What are some of Alison's funniest moments?

With too many funny moments to mention, here are just a few of our favourite Alison Hammond This Morning appearances. There's lots more where these came from!

1. While celebrating This Morning's 30th anniversary from the Albert Dock in Liverpool, Alison accidentally pushed her model assistant off the floating weather map. Ooops!

2. No matter how many times you watch Alison Hammond chatting to Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling, you won't fail to laugh. From Ford shouting: "Show me the money!" to Gosling asking: "Is this an interview?!", we love every moment of their 2017 encounter.

3. Alison on a roller coaster at Toy Story Land speaks for itself, even if Alison couldn't!

4. While showing us around a competition prize holiday home, Alison got herself caught on a door and it's the laugh that does it for us...5. Alison Hammond got stopped by the Italian police while filming live from the Leaning Tower of Pisa. This is one moment we can laugh at AFTER the event!

Watch Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary every Friday on This Morning from 10am.
