DYSON’S NEW £600 VACUUM-MOP:

Recent research by Dyson found three-quarters of UK households now have either all, or some, hard floors. Cheaper underfloor heating means carpets are no longer favoured for their warmth and hard floors are often considered a more hygienic option.

Last month, Dyson launched its first hard-floor cleaner: a £599.99 hybrid vacuum-mop.

HYBRID VACUUM-MOPS:

Mop-vacuums can suck up dry debris, mop up moisture, and polish away stains and grime all at once.

STEAM CLEANING:

Steam cleaners use water to create steam, which allows them to clean a variety of surfaces around your home such as hard floors, upholstery and windows.

Black and Decker Basic Steam Mop£40.95

Polti Vaporetto SV460_Double Steam Mop£99.99

HARD FLOOR CLEANERS:

A hard floor cleaner disperses water onto the brush rolls or pads. Hard floor cleaners are only appropriate for use on sealed hard floors such as parquet, laminate, stone, ceramic tiles, PVC and vinyl.
