Turtle Boy: Didier Montalvo's life transformed

In 2011, Channel 4 aired the documentary Turtle Boy, about five-year-old Didier Montalvo, from Colombia.

Didier had a large growth on his back called a Congenital Melanocytic Neavus (CGM), which resembled the shell of a turtle. The documentary filmed him receiving medical care in South America from UK based CMN specialists.

Three years on and Didier's life has been transformed by the surgery. He is now over in the UK for the first time ever to meet other children suffering with the condition.

Didier joins us today alongside an interpreter, fellow CMN sufferer and campaigner Jodi Whitehouse, and plastic surgeon Dr Neil Bulstrode.
