The veteran painting families a lasting memorial of their loved ones
They say a picture tells a thousand words, and ex-Soldier turned artist, Kev Wills certainly believes that. Over the past two years, Kev has completed his goal of painting the portraits of all 457 soldiers killed fighting in Afghanistan.
Kev is also tracking down the families of his portrait subjects to present them with his tribute. Kev joins us with a selection of these portraits, including one he is able to deliver in-person today. Angela Hardy lost her brother in an explosion in Afghanistan in 2010. Today she will receive Kev’s portrait of her brother, a lasting tribute to Lance Corporal Scott Hardy’s sacrifice.
