The latest social media food trend: Butter boards!

It’s the new sharing platter taking over TikTok, and today Juliet Sear is showing you how to impress your guests, by making your very own butter boards.

Butter Boards

Ingredients

For the fresh and floral:

softened butter

walnuts

honey

flaky salt

edible flowers

micro herbs

grated lemon zest

radishes

spring onions

For the Smokey style:

softened butter

Nduja (or Vduja if you're veggie)

smoked salt

smoked paprika

olives

store bought or made roasted peppers

crispy sage

Figs

For the Italian style:

softened butter blitzed with fresh basil

roasted garlic

roasted tomatoes

olives

nuts eg. pine nuts or almonds

extra pesto drizzle optional, tomato or basil flavour

Method

1. The method for all the butterboards is the same - spread softened butter over a wooden board, swirling to create an attractive pattern as well as making valleys and crevices for the other ingredients to nestle in.

2. Sprinkle sea salt all over the butter then lay the other ingredients on top, arranging any way you prefer.
