Nando’s loyalty card is quite generous. You earn a 1/4 chicken after 3 visits, 1/2 chicken after 6, and a whole chicken after 10 - and you can claim all three (worth £30+).
You get a ’chilli’ (loyalty card stamp) each time you spend £7+ on a meal. This can be done pretty easily, as meals cost more than this.
The best way to get the most for your money (if you’re eating with someone else), is to have a loyalty card each. It’s more cost effective to go dutch at Nando’s, than putting your whole bill on one tab!
If you go with your spouse - both order and pay separately using your own loyalty cards, and you’ll both earn rewards at the same time (instead of spending £40+ on a meal for two and only earning 1 chilli).
With this, if you both eat there 10 times, you earn £60+ worth of rewards, rather than £30. You can both order separately either on the app at your table, or with a cashier by scanning your card.
FREEBIE WITH EVERY FAMILY MEAL AT MCDONALDS
Love McDonald’s or hate it, it has a very good loyalty scheme that means you can get something for free after every family meal.
The loyalty card is called MyRewards, and can be downloaded on the App Store. For every penny you spend, and scan your QR code, you earn a point.
Rewards can be claimed when you have 1,500 points (which is a £15 spend). So if you go in with a spouse, friend or the whole family - you’re pretty much guaranteed to earn a reward.
This can get you a mini McFlurry, a regular soft drink, McCafe hot drink, small fries or side salad.
On your first order, you get 1,000 points also. So if you’ve never downloaded, you only need to spend £5 with this bonus to earn a freebie.
HIGH STREET
BUY BOOKS & GET ONE FREE WITH WATERSTONES PLUS
Book fans can get money off when signing up to Waterstones Plus for free.
For every £10 spent, you earn 1 stamp. Get to 10 stamps, and it’s worth £10 off in store or online.
This is a 10% return on your spending - one of the highest on the high street!
You can earn stamps for eating at a Waterstones cafe, buying books or gifts.
If you’re a student, you can get 5% off all purchases by signing up to its loyalty scheme too.
£100s OF “FREE” PRET A MANGER DRINKS
If you get a Pret A Manger hot/cold drink more than twice a week consistently, then it’s worth signing up to the Pret Club.
The Pret Club is their loyalty subscription service that gets you up to 5 free drinks a day, every day for a whole month and you just pay a £30 subscription fee.
There’s the *potential* to get up to 125 free drinks a month, which could normally cost you £600+ a month, and you just pay £30 for it.
You have to wait 30 minutes between each free drink, so it’s maybe not as easy to do that. You also get 20% off all food for being a member.
You can choose between any barista made drink including teas, coffees or fruit coolers. Most of which range between £3-4 normally. So if you work/live nearby and go in often enough, it could be worth it.
