The 15kg gold coin made especially for the King's Coronation:

The Royal Mint has created a 15kg gold coin in celebration of the King Charles' Coronation. It is the largest coin produced by The Royal Mint in its 1,100-year history with only one made featuring this design.

The coronation coin range:

Last week, The Royal Mint unveiled the UK's official commemorative coin range to mark His Majesty King Charles III's coronation and will officially go on sale 9am on 24th April via The Royal Mint's website.

The range includes an official UK 50p and £5 coin. All UK coins produced by The Royal Mint are legal tender, however the commemorative editions are designed to be treasured and kept as part of collections rather than to be spent.

Royal newspapers

On the day of the coronation go out and buy every major paper. It will only cost you £5 but within a few days you could sell them for much more.

After the death of the Queen, we saw papers reporting her death selling from its original price of 80p to £200.

King Charles coronation commemorative brooch - £11.99

Brooches come in and out of fashion but they always end up back in fashion. This is an inexpensive way to celebrate the coronation and is likely to be a collector's item in years to come.

Royal Scott crystal coronation paperweight - £39.50

This paper weight is made from crystal. As we start to become paperless, manufacturers are starting to produce less paperweights.

In years to come paperweights will remind us of days we used paper and could be worth hundreds of pounds.

A limited edition 'The Highgrove Coronation Bear' - £170

'The Highgrove Coronation Bear' is Highgrove's latest collectible bear. Limited to just 500, this Coronation teddy bear is handmade by Merrythought, the last remaining British teddy bear manufacturer.

Highgrove items will see a rise in value in the years to come as this is King Charles' country estate.

King Charles III commemorative plate - £65

The commemorative plate is from Pentreath and Hall. With only 200 made these are set to skyrocket in the coming years.

Coronation tea cup and saucer - £75

This set has been produced by the Royal Collection. There is nothing more British than a cup and saucer and because of this its value will hold and rise.

Based on similar items produced by the Royal Collection It's expected this to be worth double in the next 15 years.

Fortnum and Masons shopper - £12.95

Fortnum and Mason is 316 years old, and has helped the nation celebrate 12 coronations. The Coronation bag for life is not expensive and it's very reflective of our sustainable society we currently live in. Buy two.
