The charity training and rehabilitating former prisoners
32-year-old Jason Koku was in and out of trouble growing up and most recently served 5 months in prison, in 2022, for assault. Struggling to find work and worried he would spiral into more crime, Jason came across XO bikes. The charity-owned business trains former prisoners in London to work as bike mechanics which puts them on a path to employment and promotes a sense of self-worth.
We’re joined by Jason alongside XO Bikes founder Stef Jones and David Wilson who says that the rehabilitative work the charity does is exactly the reform the country needs.
