Sprinter Iwan Thomas: 'We almost lost our little boy to Strep B'
The happiest day of Olympic sprinter Iwan Thomas’s life quickly became the worst when his son Teddy was rushed to intensive care with breathing problems.
Teddy had Group B Strep, an infection that is not routinely tested for in pregnancy but that affects 1 in 1000 babies. Iwan joins us today - alongside Dr Chris - to commend our NHS for saving Teddy’s life, to raise awareness of GBS and to encourage other men to open up when life seems like it’s spiralling our of your control.
