COSRT (College of Sexual &Relationship Therapies)
COSRT exists to support healthy, satisfying and rewarding personal relationships. We understand that any partnership can run intodifficulties occasionally, and that sometimes a bit of outside help can makeall the difference. The sexual experiences of people with disabilities are frequently mis-understood. Quite often the subject is just ignored – many people assume that disability removes all desire for sex. The truth is that the way you have sex or think about sex might be different after a serious illness or due to a disability, but you are still a sexual person capable of enjoying healthy relationships.
Enhance the UK
Most people see disabled groups as widely separate from themselves. This separateness is not helpful. Anyone can find their life change in a moment and become disabled. Dealing with the emotional impact of thisis extremely demanding and challenging for all involved. Enhance theUK are here to help overcome these emotions. When people talk about disability access and awareness, they’re usually thinking about building work, such as putting in a ramp or a disabled toilet. Ironically it is many of the basic social needs, which have yet to be widely acknowledged, understood and provided for. Things ranging from the importance of deaf and disability awareness in the workplace, to the right to an active and healthy sex life. Webelieve education is key and have spent a long time considering and testing thebest ways in which to deliver education and awareness to the masses!
