Scarlett Moffatt on her childhood bullying hell
I once went out to play, sort of thing, with someone who I thought was my friend, and it ended up being a bit of a trap - there were six girls there. I ran away and I knocked on this old woman’s bungalow and she drove me home because I was so scared.
Jungle Queen Scarlett Moffatt is on her way to becoming one of TV’s biggest stars. But life hasn’t always been so rosy for Scarlett. She grew up hiding a heartbreaking secret from her parent. From the age of 12, Scarlett’s life was made a misery by cruel bullies who poked fun at her looks and eccentric personality. In fact, it got so bad that she was allowed to leave school ten minutes early each day to avoid being beaten up.
Now, more than a decade on and in support of our Be Kind campaign, Scarlett will be talking for the first time on television about her horrific experience, and exactly what happened when she came face-to-face with one of her former bullies and how being bullied made her the person she is today.
