Sally Phillips: Do we really want a world without Down's syndrome?
Ten days after he was born, Sally Phillips’ eldest son, Olly, now 12, was diagnosed with Down's syndrome. Rather than tragedy, Sally says Olly has brought comedy, joy and mischief into her family's life.
Now, with the introduction of a new prenatal test that can detect the condition with a 99% accuracy, Sally decided she wanted to prove that having a child with Down's is not life-ruining - and can actually be quite the opposite.
TV: A World Without Down's Syndrome? is on Wednesday 5 October at 9pm on BBC2
