Richard E Grant’s pocketful of happiness… and co-hosting the BAFTAs!
Since making his name in British cult classic Withnail and I in 1987, Richard E Grant has been a much-loved fixture on our screens. But when his beloved wife, Joan, died in 2021 after almost 40 years together, he faced his greatest challenge yet. In a bid to deal with his grief and to honour his promise to her to ‘find a pocketful of happiness in each day’, lifelong diary-keeper Richard turned his journal entries into a memoir.
He joins us to tell us more about his book, Pocketful of Happiness out on 11th May (paperback version) and gives us the lowdown on his upcoming tour and how he felt hosting the BAFTAs with Alison.
