Reinvent your skincare routine for autumn
As the days get shorter and temperatures drop, you may notice your skin feeling the change in season. While lighter creams and masks might have done the job previously, getting the hydration your skin needs is even more important when the weather cools down. And whether it’s introducing a facial oil, or getting a new cleanser - Caroline Hirons shares her top seasonal skincare swaps.
"When you change your coat, you change your skincare!"
Caroline's autumn skincare
Oat Cleansing Balm - The Inkey List £9.99
Caroline says: A thicker balm cleanser that's brilliant for a sensitised or reddened skin
Ceramidin Cream Mist - Dr. Jart+ £13
Caroline says: Look how fine the mist is. If your skin feels dry and tight, go for this before you think about a heavy moisturiser.
Clarifying Oil Free Water Gel - Murad £38
Caroline says: If you need hydration, but don't want to have anything too heavy, a couple of pumps of this will absorb brilliantly.
Hydrogel Cream - Honest Beauty £25
Caroline says: If you need a bit more oomph, you can literally apply this in the morning and go!
Cicaplast Lips - La Roche Posay £7
Caroline says: This is probably the most well-known lip balm in our industry. Safe for children, so keep it in your handbag!
