Meet the photographer who says a monkey selfie has ruined his life!

It was meant to be a harmless selfie published in 2011 to raise awareness of the endangered crested black macaque, but British photographer David Slater has now found himself at the centre of a bizarre court battle - he's being sued by a monkey.

PETA have filed a suit against David on behalf of Naruto, the six-year-old male macaque, claiming that the animal was the rightful owner of the copyright on the photo. But with fresh allegations that Naruto isn’t even the monkey in the original photo, will David win the rights to the image he set up, or will he have to give back his earnings to the 6-year-old simian?

Who do you think owns the copyright to the photo? Have your say in our poll! ?
