Philippa Forrester: My son's brain tumour battle
Initially dismissing her son’s severe headaches as migraines, It was on her husband Charlie’s birthday that Philippa Forrester was told it was likely her 15-year-old son Fred would die after being diagnosed with a brain tumour. Roughly the size of an orange, the mass was removed from Fred’s brain in a gruelling four-hour operation and luckily Fred survives, continuing to make good progress.
Philippa joins us to share her story during Brain Tumour Awareness Month this March, supporting the HeadSmart campaign with 500 children and young people diagnosed each year.
