When Haatchi came, I wasn't scared... he changed my life.

The inspirational Owen Howkins, eight, and his beloved three-legged dog Haatchi last appeared on This Morning in February last year.

Aged just two Owen was diagnosed with Schwartz-Jampel syndrome - a condition which puts his muscles into continual contraction. Growing up aware and uncomfortable with the fact he was different from other children, Owen was so unhappy he often refused to leave the house.

Thankfully that all changed when Owen's dad Will and step-mother Colleen adopted injured Anatolian Shepherd, Haatchi, two. They've turned the story of their friendship into a powerful new book and they join us today to discuss a very busy year that's involved time in the media spotlight, a wedding, a movie, several awards and lots of joy...
