Martin's discount codes round-up
Urgent. Last chance AI Scheme letter, discount codes round-up including 20% off ASOS and H&M and more, 35% off eBay fees and ‘free’ unlimited pie trick. These are our Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis’ Quick Deals.
Remember, deals can change quickly, even while I’m on the programme. So always double-check the terms and conditions before spending. Plus, while I hope these deals will save you cash, don’t spend if you can’t afford it, don’t need it, or won’t use it.
Discount codes round-up
20% off ASOS: Buy April’s edition of Elle magazine (£4.10, Jourdan Dunn on the cover), and there’s a 20% off ASOS code inside (full priced items only) – which you need to register on Elle’s website first.Delivery's £3.
20% off H&M: Go online to fashion retailer H&M, and you can get 20% off when you enter the code 6406 at the checkout. You’ll also get free delivery (normally £3.99). The code seems to work on sale items as well as full-priced ones but H&M hasn’t confirmed this. The code could end at any time, so go quick if you want this deal.
25% off Dorothy Perkins: Go online or in store to Dorothy Perkins and you can get 25% off all full-price items (sale items excluded), until 11.59pm this Sunday. There's no code to enter online as the discounted prices will be shown on screen. But if you go in store you’ll need to mention the discount code 81to staff.
20% off £50 River Island spend: Go online to River Island and you can get 20% off when you spend £50 or more on full-price items only. You’ll need to enter the discount code STYLEW316 at the checkout by 11.59pm this Sunday. Delivery's £3.95, but you can collect from a store for free. You can also get the discount in River Island stores (find your nearest), if you show the code printed in the latest issue of free in-store mag Style Insider.
35% off selling fees plus free eBay listings
Until Monday (14 March), some selected eBay users may be eligible to get 35% off its final value seller fee. That’s the 10% fee it usually takes off the sold price plus postage (so it’ll take 6.5% instead) – though if you take the cash via PayPal you’ll still have to pay its fee. Plus you’ll also be able to list 100 items for free (usually you only get 20 free).
Now, not everyone gets this, so to find out if you’re eligible, log in to your eBay account and the offer will flash up on the screen. Then click ‘accept offer’ and it’ll either say “You’ve accepted the offer” if you’re eligible or “Unfortunately, this promotional offer is by invitation only” if you aren’t. eBay hasn’t said how many people it’s offering this deal to, but I got my team to test this and out of 20 people 19 were eligible, so it’s definitely worth having a look.
Last chance to return your AI Scheme letter.
All reminder letters have now been sent out to the two million people who were flogged worthless card security insurance from Affinion (also known as Sentinel). If you got one and still haven’t returned it, you only have one week left till the deadline, 18 March. If you think you binned the letter then call AI Scheme on 0800 678 1930 and ask to be sent another – though it’s touch and go now, as it’ll take time to get it out to you and for you to send it back. If you don’t send it back in time you could miss out on £100s, as Rodney emailed, “Thanks Martin for pushing me, I got a £388 cheque” – so do it now!
£3.50 for unlimited pies.
Go in store to Tesco and some, mainly Tesco Extra or superstores, have special promo packs of Higgidy chicken or steak pies, which have a yellow sticker saying “free pie voucher inside”. Buy the pie for £3.50 and inside there’ll be a coupon to get the next pie free. So go back and get another special pack for free. Inside will be another coupon. You can carry on doing this until stocks run out or until the coupon expires on 30 April – and as I’m saying this I guess they’ll go quick. Not all Tesco stores are stocking these promo pies but it’s worth having a scout round if you’re in a Tesco.
