'I couldn’t get to the end of the song without bursting into tears'
I brought her into the studio and sang the song to her and actually got so inspired by her but at the same time I couldn’t get to the end of the song without bursting into tears!
Katherine Jenkins OBE is a former choir girl from a council estate in south Wales who planned to slowly work her way up the music ladder, but in 2003 Universal records heard her demo tape and immediately signed her for £1 million. She's since sold eight million albums and last week released her eleventh, Celebration, a collection that pays homage to the Queen's 90th birthday.
Katherine joins us today to talk about being invited to perform for the Queen next month, learning to speak Mandarin and how having a daughter has inspired her to work even harder.
