Juliet's DIY New Year's Day grazing board!

Costing anything from £50 to £150 celebratory grazing boards can be pricey, but Juliet's here to show us how easy it is to create your very own at home for a fraction of the price.

Juliet Sear’s NYE Sharing Board

Serves: 6-8

Ingredients

Hard cheese of your choice/ selection of leftover cheeses, cut into 2cm/¾in cubesSlices of Red Leicester cheese, cut into stars, leaves or gingerbread men using cuttersSlices of Cheddar cheese, cut into stars, leaves or gingerbread men using cuttersMini sausage rollsMini mozzarella ballsCornichonsKiwis, cut into slicesCherry tomatoes, cut in halfCarrots, cut into starsRadishes, slicedBlack and green olivesCured meat or salamiChutney of your choiceRosemary sprigsGrapes Dried apricotsDatesFigs, cut into quartersPomegranate seeds Physalis Little pot of honey Pretzel sticks Nuts - such as walnuts, brazil nuts, pecans and hazelnutsCrackers, crostini or baguette slices, to serve Selection of dips, such as hummus, guacamole, salsa

Method

1. Assemble in the shape of letters spelling ‘NYE’ on a large board. Use greaseproof paper as a template and stick it onto the board by brushing it with hummus. Then brush more hummus onto the top of the template as this will help the ingredients stick and stay in place.

2. To make your cured meats into roses, use a shot glass/ small glass to fold the slices over the edge and layer on top of each other so that they overlap. Continue this process until you reach the centre and a small hole remains (you will need approximately 10 slices per rose). Then flip the glass upside down and when the layered meat is removed you should be left with a rose.

3. Arrange ingredients onto the template in your desired fashion until the template is well covered. Be sure to fill any small gaps so it is nice and full. Dips or chutneys can be served alongside or in smaller bowls on the board.
