John Torode's Masterchef musings

Eight weeks ago, the distinctive husky tones of India Fisher marked the start of another series of MasterChef. Since then, 57 of the original 60 amateur cooks have fallen by the wayside, leaving tonight's trio battling it out to succeed last year's victor Natalie Coleman as champion.

All that stands between the finalists and the title are a few more courses of perfect grub, so they'll be pulling out all the stops to impress judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace with spicy starters, mouth-watering mains and delicious desserts. John is here now to give us his thoughts ahead of the final.
