'I was hospitalised due to severe eczema'
Amy Aston has battled eczema all of her life, but has been able to manage her symptoms with steroid creams. In January this year, Amy says her usual steroid creams suddenly started to burn her skin, making her eczema the worst it has ever been. After causing severe redness, peeling and oozing, Amy was left unable to do basic tasks and last month was hospitalised “due to severe eczema”.
After returning home just last week, Amy joins us today to share her story and raise awareness of topical steroid withdrawal, alongside dermatology expert Dr George Moncrieff.
