'I gave birth in front of 1.4 million viewers on YouTube'

The number of at-home births has been steadily on the increase for the past few years. However, filming and uploading the footage of the birth online is, unsurprisingly, much less common - yet that is exactly what mum of six, Sarah Schmidt, chose to do.

With no pain relief and no medical assistance, Sarah gave birth to her 6th child in her back garden with her husband and children watching close by.

She joins us from her home in France to explain why she believes she’s just showing the world what a woman’s body is ‘designed to do’ and why she doesn't consider the video to be "oversharing".
