How to make your own slime

It’s the global phenomenon that has dominated people’s search engines since 2017, and how to make slime continues to be one of this year’s biggest crazes.

Juliet Sear guides Holly and Phil through making their own batch of slime, and reveals why families across the nation are loving this sticky substance!

Make your own slime

Ingredients

1 cup of PVA glue1 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda1 cup of white shaving foam (optional)Food colouringContact lens solution

Method

1. Tip 1 cup of the PVA glue into a bowl

2. Add a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda and mix together

3. To add colour, mix a few drops of food colouring to the glue and mix

4. Next add 1 tablespoon of contact lens solution and mix with a spoon until it starts to become stringy

5. Then take it out of the bowl and knead between your hands for 30 seconds. It will start off sticky but will become elastic and stretchy

6. If it's still too sticky, just add a few more drops of contact lens solution, but be careful, as adding too much will make it brittle and cause it to snap!
