The Home Genie's top Autumn designs:
Dried flower wreath
Use a natural wreath base.
Choose reds, oranges, creams and browns when choosing your dried flowers for the autumnal look.
Poke into the wreath base diagonally until you have filled the circle.
Rag wreath
Make a circle from cardboard.
Cut 20cm strips of fabric in autumnal colours.
Knot them around the circle until it’s filled.
Use one longer looped rag secured to the wreath to hang them.
Leaf wreath
Bend some thick wire into a circle without securing the ends.
Thread the wire through the middle of leaves until the circle is complete.
Twist the ends of the wire together and use twine to hang.
Gold leaf wreath
Dry some leaves and paint gold.
Cut a circle out of cardboard. Tie a ribbon to the circle.
Stick the golden leaves and a few cones to the cardboard circle.
Doorstep jar lamp
Glue leaves or leaf skeletons to the outside of a jar.
Add a coat of varnish.
Tie some twine around the top and add a tea-light
Leaf garland
String leaves together by sewing wire or strong cotton through the base of their stalks.
Bend into shape when draping around the door.
Door mat
Use a plain coir mat.
You can either use a stencil or freestyle paint a message on the mat.
