Get money off cinema and theatre tickets

£136 years’ broadband, free financial plan, cheap Odeon tickets and cheap theatre. These are our Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis’ Quick Deals.

Remember, deals can change quickly, even while I’m on the programme. So always double-check the terms and conditions before spending. Plus, while I hope these deals will save you cash, don’t spend if you can’t afford it, don’t need it, or won’t use it.

£136 for a year’s line rental and broadband

Most people on standard deals with the likes of BT, Sky, Virgin, TalkTalk you pay £300-£450/year, but if you time it right, you can massively slash the cost by grabbing promo deals (or haggling based on them).

One’s out now - get Plusnet’s one-year line rental and unlimited broadband is included at no added cost for the year. The line rental is £186 if you pay for a year upfront, if you can’t do that it’s £16.99 monthly. Plus do it by Tuesday and you’ll be eligible to get (you must claim) £50 cashback. That makes it £136 for the year, equivalent to £11.32 a month.

Free tailored financial plan ‘worth £500’

The independent financial advisor website VouchedFor has a limited deal on for a ‘free financial planning session’ either on the phone or in person from a local IFA it says is worth £500. You should get the financial plan within two weeks.

It’s primarily for those with over £20,000 in savings who want to invest, or to look at pension planning. That sounds a lot, but many people especially at retirement are in that boat.

Admittedly many IFAs tend to give a first consultation for free anyway. Though here you know you will definitely get one, and that you’ll get a plan to show for it – so it’s easier in some ways. Of course their aim is by doing this they get further business from you.

£12 for three Odeon tickets:

Go to Groupon and you can buy three Odeon tickets for £12, these can be used by one person or three and don’t need using together. They expire on 11 February. It’s only for 2D films, and a few prime London theatres are excluded.

£10 - £40 tickets to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Lion King and more West End shows

Go online to Get Into London Theatre and if you’re lucky you’ll be able to get £10-£40 tickets (usually up to £72.50) for West End shows till 12 February for performances, such as Wicked, Matilda, Bend it Like Beckham and The Lion King. There’s limited supply so once they’re gone they’re gone. So if you want them go now.
