Tesco Finest Passerina£6 normally £7
We're starting in Italy with the Passerina grape from the Abruzzo region in the calf of the country. It smells of pears and flowers, it's soft but still fresh. Just add a bowl of crisps and you're done!
Morrisons The Best Muscadet Sur Lie£8
France's Muscadet region is very near to the coast, so it's not surprising that this wine goes brilliantly with anything that comes from the sea. Fresh and crisp, with a little bit of weight to it.
Aldi Pierre Jaurant Bordeaux Blanc£5.49
Lovely and crisp, very lemony. Gorgeous - it really lifts the tastebuds and makes you want to get stuck into some lightly-spiced food.
Sainsbury’s Porcupine Ridge Sauvignon Blanc£7.50
So vibrant and full of gooseberry when you smell it, and on tasting has a twist of tropical as well. A lively wine that will put you in a good mood!
The Rioja region makes fantastic white wines as well as red, this wine is richer and rounder than the others we've tasted, but still really fresh.
It's got lovely lemon, pear - but it's also got a little bit of spice, which makes this such a great food wine, really versatile. Pair it with roast chicken - job done.
