Creepy cocktails for a happy Halloween 👻
This year it's all about having the perfect Halloween party at home, so why not pair your sweet treats with a cup of witch's brew!
From a bloody Mary with a spooky twist to a pumpkin bellini, drinks expert Andy Clarke helps us to pick our poison this Halloween with his top four creepy cocktails.
Dark, Spooky & Stormy
A Dark and Stormy cocktail is a fantastic treat in the winter months thanks to the dark rum, ginger beer and lime juice used in it. But we've given it a darker twist for Halloween by adding cola and bitters for a fiendish edge.Â
Ingredients: dark rum, ginger beer, cola, bitters, lime juice, wedge of lime, watermelon
Bloody Skull Mary
Hotter than a regular Bloody Mary, this sinister drink contains wasabi vodka and is decorated with a salted rim and easy-to-make mushroom skulls.Â
(You can also make this into a non-alcoholic cocktail)
Ingredients: tomato juice, wasabi vodka, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce and a mushroom carved to look like a skull
Pumpkin Prosecco
A seasonal take on the bellini and a way to spice up a regular glass of Prosecco! Rather than using peach puree, this halloween cocktail uses pumpkin puree from your freshly carved pumpkins (or shop bought).
Ingredients: Prosecco, cloudy apple juice, boiled pumpkin, fresh gingerÂ
Sinister Sangria
This is a take on a Spanish summer classic and contains lemon cider and dark autumn fruits for a seasonal sip that packs a punch.Â
Ingredients: red wine, lemon cider, blackcurrant gin, forrest fruits to garnish
