Cost of living crisis leaves food banks empty after 20 minutes
The food bank network feeding Britain is struggling to meet the demand of new and existing visitors due to increased prices of food.
Several clubs and pantries in their networks are lasting 2-3 hours and some are even running out of food in just 20 minutes.
Speaking on This Morning, Isabel Oakeshott said: "We are all noticing massive changes in prices and I think you've got to be smart now."
Sonia Sodha added: "I think it's really shocking actually that we're one of the richest countries in the world, we're operating food banks and people are the very sharp end of this actually cant afford the cost of a weekly shop, they can't afford to put food on the table for children."
