Clodagh McKenna's pumpkin spice latte

Food trends might come and go, but the humble Pumpkin Spice Latte isn’t one to ‘fall’ - as the autumnal drink celebrates its 20th birthday! To celebrate Clodagh McKenna has her pumpkin spiced latte.

Clodagh’s pumpkin spiced latte

Serves: 1

Ingredients

For the Latte:2 tsp pumpkin purée1 tsp honeyPinch of ground cinnamonPinch of ground ginger1 shot or 30ml espresso (use 2 shots if you’d like a stronger coffee)250ml milk (any will work)Small amount of vanilla extract 

To Finish:Whipped creamCinnamon


Method

1. Put the pumpkin purée and honey in a large heatproof glass or mug and stir in the spices.

2. Pull a shot of espresso and add this to the pumpkin spice mix. Stir well to combine.

3. Heat the milk along with the vanilla in a milk frother machine or in a saucepan over a low heat until steaming.

4. Pour the milk into the glass or mug until ¾ full. Stir well to combine, then top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
