Carolyn Woods exclusive: Duped by Britain's most notorious conman
"Financially I was left destitute, personally, as I said in my statement in court, if my injuries had been physical and not psychological, I would have looked as if I had been beaten to a pulp"

One of the country’s most wanted men Mark Acklom has been jailed for five years, eight months after admitting to stealing £300,000 from the woman he promised to marry.
A powerful statement was read out from his victim Carolyn Woods during Acklom’s sentencing - after he went on the run, vanishing with the money she loaned him.
Ms Woods says her life has been ruined as a result of the life-long fraudster who claimed to be a spy and a millionaire Swiss banker.
"The man that I loved didn't exist, and I got over that relatively quickly. I just despise, and dislike intensely- I hate Mark Acklom"

Carolyn joins us as she comes to terms with Acklom’s admission of guilt - breathing a sigh of relief that the man who destroyed her life is finally facing the consequences.
