Bobbi Brown: Her beauty and skincare tips
She’s one of the biggest names in the beauty industry, but now with her own wellness range, world- renowned make up artist Bobbi Brown joins us to show us how ingredients such as pumpkin seeds, turmeric, fermented foods and even dandelions can transform our skin, hair and nails.
Bobbi believes that what you put inside your body, reflects on the outside. There are a few personal superfood favourites that can be used regularly and bought locally at your supermarket.
Calendula OilBobbi says: 'It is a really great oil that's great for any kind of burns or any kind of red irritation. It's also good for cuticle care.'
Drink + Eat Dandelion Bobbi likes to put dried dandelion in tea or in a salad to help with bloating, and says apple cider vinegar helps with digestion.
TurmericBobbi mixes turmeric, black pepper and milk to make a milk bath of sorts for her skin. The black pepper activates the tumeric to release the health benefits. Bobbi also likes to warm the mixture up, then add cinnamon and honey and drink it.
Pumpkin SeedsThese seeds are high in zinc, which protects cell membranes and helps maintain and produce collagen. Zinc also helps fight breakouts.
Orange VegetablesVitamin A has the ability to help cells heal and repair. Vitamin A is found in high levels in orange vegetables including yams, sweet potatoes, and carrots.
CollagenProduction of the protein collagen naturally decreases in our bodies as we get older. Taking Collagen adds elasticity to the skin, making it look plumper and more moisturized.
