Beverley Knight talks perfect scents!

When I look in the mirror I see my mum staring back. There is a picture of mum at home with this hairstyle so I use that for my inspiration

Beverley Knight admits she changes her SMELL according to each role she plays.

The singer is currently starring in Memphis the Musical, which follows the fame and forbidden love of a radio DJ called Felicia Farrell who wants to change the world and a club singer who is ready for her big break.

And Beverley admits she had to find the perfect scent in order to get into character.

She said: "I really relate and respond to smells! Felicia is fresh, vibrant and sassy but also ambitious so wanted to choose a perfume that represented her. I had a very different one in The Bodyguard."

Beverly admitted the show is perfect fit for her after growing up surrounded by 50s music.

She said: "My mother was a huge fan of Sam Cooke so I was already steeped in the sounds of blues and gospel. It was all I listen to."
