Escaping Victimhood is a charity that provides unique, supportive residential workshops for people whose lives have been disrupted by the trauma of serious crime. We currently specialise in those bereaved by murder and manslaughter. We deliver a unique and innovative residential workshop programme enabling participants to move forward into a healthier happier future, reconnecting with their families, communities and society. To help meet this objective, Escaping Victimhood has designed and piloted a unique programme that provides people with the information, support and on-going tools to start their recovery.

Offers free and confidential help to victims of crime, their family, friends and anyone else affected, giving information, emotional support and practical help. Last year our National Homicide Service supported more than 2,256 people bereaved by murder and manslaughter in England and Wales. This vital service helped people navigate and know what to expect from the criminal justice system, helped with immediate practical needs, helped them access financial assistance and access services such as bereavement counselling, restorative justice, debt advice, legal advice and much more.
