Banned for breastfeeding in a public pool

Mum of three Natalie Forester

Two breastfeeding mothers were asked to leave their local pool in Stoke-on-Trent after staff told them it ‘breached the food and drink policy’.

According to the Equality Act of 2010, a business cannot discriminate against mothers who are breastfeeding a child at any age.

Natalie Forester and Chloe Hattersley join us from Stoke as they explain why the centre’s treatment is outdated and left them feeling shocked and embarrassed.

If I’m sitting in a cafe or a swimming pool I don’t want people to start engaging in bodily functions that have usually been kept private.

Virginia Blackburn
