The first Christmas song for dogs has arrived
We’ve opened some fantastic doors on This Morning’s Advent Calendar so far, but Day Five's treat is especially exciting for our furry friends as we listen to Raise the Woof! - the world’s first Christmas song for dogs.
That's right - pet food company tails.com has produced a track, based on scientific research, containing high-frequency sounds, squeaky toy noises and classic phrases like 'good boy' that increase dogs' serotonin levels.
Over the last two months, Raise the Woof!'s music producers played over 500 sounds to a focus group of 25 dogs in order to compose the final version of the upbeat reggae-based song, which was mastered at the world-famous Abbey Road studios. All proceeds from vinyl sales of the track will go to men’s mental wellbeing organisation Dudes&Dogs.
To put the tune to the test, Phillip and Alison played it for pet therapist Becky and her 19 dogs, with interesting results, before asking viewers to send in their own dogs' reaction videos.
So will Raise the Woof! get your canine chum's tail wagging this Christmas? Have a listen and find out!
