Are pole dancing classes suitable for eight year olds?

Since the eighties, pole dancing has been synonymous with strip joints and lap-dancing clubs. But a decade or so ago, it stopped being solely the preserve of red-light districts and moved into mainstream life. Hen parties took classes along with middle-aged women looking for a novel way to keep fit, and now, there are classes specifically targeted at children. But is this controversial hobby a step too far?

Here to show us their skills are eight-year-old Tilly-May and Timea and 11-year-old Mia, along with their mothers and dance instructor Zoe Hardy. And joining us via Skype is Emma Kenny, to express her thoughts.
