‘2 Days To Save My Life' - 9 year old Nathaniel is fundraising £200,000 for life saving treatment
The countdown is on for 9-year-old Nathaniel Nabena, who needs life saving treatment, after being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia last November.
Nathaniel’s parents, Ebi and Modupe, are desperately trying to raise £200,000 by Wednesday to pay for his treatment, which the NHS won’t fund given that the family aren’t British nationals.
Their GoFundMe page was on £50,000 this morning but just one hour after their interview the fund is over £128,000 and rising.
Their story has touched the hearts of celebrities including Simon Cowell and David Walliams, who have pledged to donate.
The family, alongside Dr Sara, joined us to explain why time is running out for their son.
