She’s the newest Coach in town, but Meghan Trainor’s made it clear she’s here to win! Meghan has assembled herself a powerhouse of strong female vocalists, as well as some exceptionally talented guys to head into The Battles with.
After a rollercoaster Blind Auditions, let’s remind ourselves of the 10 incredible Acts that have made it into Team Meghan and are set to go head-to-head for a place in the Knockouts. Get ready - some seriously strong performances heading our way...
Meghan showed she meant business from the very first performance. After a 4 chair turn-worthy version of Lewis Capaldi’s ‘Bruises’, 20-year-old Brooke Scullion picked our pop princess as her Coach... and the competition was ON!
The second Act to secure her place in Team Meghan was 16-year-old Trinity-Leigh Cooper, whose emotional cover of ‘Stone Cold’ by Demi Lovato gave Meghan all the feels.
In week 2 the button pushes kept on coming for our superstar Coach, and she beat the boys to bag Blaize China after the 21-year-old brought the soca party to the studio with her performance of ‘Instruction’ by Jax Jones, Demi Lovato and Stefflon Don.
Twin sisters Katie and Aoife’s twist on the ABBA classic ‘Chiquitita’ was also hit with Meghan and the Irish duo made it to The Battles.
The fierce pitches didn’t stop in week 3 as Meghan’s sisterhood got stronger. Oli Ross’s stunning performance of ‘Sail’ by AWOL Nation blew the Coaches away, but the sales assistant only had eyes for our girl.
Jordan Phillips was the guy Meghan was looking for in week 4, as his version of ‘Found What I’ve Been Looking For’ by Tom Grennan saw him become the first male to join Meghan’s talented Team.
In week 5 Meghan secured herself two more Acts. First up, student Darci Wilders’ gorgeous version of ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’ by Elvis Presley left Meghan declaring “you remind me of me!”, while Holly Scally’s beautiful take on Sam Smith’s ‘Lay Me Down’ saw Meghan and Olly pitch it out - big time.
Meghan found herself a prince in Dean John-Wilson, as the former Aladdin theatre star made his way in her Team after a pitch-perfect performance of ‘Always Remember Us This Way’ by Lady Gaga.
Meghan’s final spot went to Claudillea Holloway after her one-of-a-kind audition stunned the Coaches and saw the studio erupt, performing a contemporary twist on the ‘Queen of the Night Aria’ from The Magic Flute opera.
What a squad! Has Meghan got herself a winner among this talented 10? Only one way to find out…
