Our favourite Coach performances!

We love nothing more than when our superstar Coaches grab the mic, and there have been unbelievable show-stoppers as well as impeccable impromptu performances over the past few years. Let’s take a look at the most memorable sing-songs from those who know exactly what it takes to be a global artist.

1. When Meghan Trainor made her entrance on The Voice UK

New series, new Coach! GRAMMY® Award-winning singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor made quite the entrance as our Coaches kicked off the series and raised the studio roof with a rendition of ‘I’ve Got The Music In Me’. In the words of the great Sir Tom Jones... ‘Yeah!’

2. When Olly and Meghan mashed-up their songs and it was musical heaven

Dear Olly Murs couldn’t help but notice the similarities between his hit ‘Dance With Me Tonight’ and Meghan Trainor’s personal dedication to her hubby, ‘Dear Future Husband’. Cue the mash-up we never knew we 100% needed.

3. When Jennifer Hudson sang with Nicole Dennis at her Blind Audition

This one’s a little throwback to 2019. As if getting three chair turns in your Blind Audition wasn’t enough for one day, Nicole Dennis, played Effie in the West-End version of Dreamgirls couldn’t believe what was happening when her personal hero Jennifer Hudson joined her on stage for a rendition of ‘And I’m Telling You’. We can officially declare this an absolute superstar moment!

4. When Meghan’s dad joined the fun

When Meghan mentioned that her Dad was a dab hand on the keys, it was only a matter of time before Mr GT was called out to show us his piano skills. AND we got a surprise performance of ‘Shake Rattle and Roll’ from Sir Tom Jones in the process!

5. When Sir Tom Jones told us ‘You Can Leave Your Hat On’...

No introduction needed. Just sit back, relax and enjoy this performance from a true legend.

6. When Tom and J-Hud blew us all away with ‘It’s A Man’s Man’s World’

Olly Murs was up to his usual tricks when he challenged Sir Tom and Jennifer Hudson to a Battle back in 2019, and no one was ready for what happened next. We’ve watched this 347 times, and we’re still not bored.

7. When Olly took it back to where it all began

Stevie Wonder’s ‘Superstition’ was the song that changed Olly’s life when he auditioned on The X Factor back in 2009. And we were more than happy for him to treat us all to it during the 2019 Blind Auditions.

8. When the Coaches were Feeling Good

We started with a full Coach sing-song so we might as well end in superstar style too, right? This show-stopping performance of Nina Simone's iconic 'Feeling Good' from the first episode of 2018 is one to remember.
