Saturday night catch up...

Who was your favourite act last night? Take a look back at the show highlights and watch all the performances to make your choice.

First to take to the stage was Shakira Lueshing, a single mum hoping to use her rapping skills to make a better life for herself and her daughter. Will was happy to see an urban act hitting The Voice UK stage and pushed his button saying “wow, she’s dope”.

Next came one of the most uncomfortable moments in The Voice history - our Will accidentally hitting his button for Lawrence Hill! Describing it as a happy accident though, Will said he thinks it may be destiny that Lawrence is now on his team.

Tom Johnson then took to the stage to sing Adele, and didn’t quite get a turn - with Gavin saying “that was close”.

Seventeen-year-old Zara Okro was next up with a rock classic which Gavin much enjoyed, but didn’t quite make him hit his button, he said “I loved her, and I love that song.”

It was then time for a duo, which came in the shape of Bosie, a girl/boy double act from Glasgow. Best pals Bosie are always subject to questioning about whether they are romantically involved, but insist they are just good friends. Either way, Gavin was impressed and they joined his team.

Dannii Barnes from Guildford was next on stage, a 20-year-old hoping to make it in the music business and pay her parents back for putting her through college. Tom was impressed by her up-tempo performance and she danced her way onto his team.

Determined panto princess Lucy Kane was up next - determined to make it in the music business on her own merit, not through her famous parents Linda Lusardi and Sam Kane. She impressed both Tom and Gavin enough to spin their chairs, and chose to join Team Tom.

Next came 40-year-old burlesque performer Sarah Franks performing on stage as her alter-ego ‘Miss Cherry Bomb’. Although she didn’t get a turn, Jennifer admired her song choice.

And last but not least came Gospel singer Israel Allen. His song choice was especially for our Jennifer Hudson and boy, was he ready to belt out those notes!
