In Pictures: The Second 2021 Battles!
The second round of Battles brought more talent, more energy and more phenomenal performances to The Voice UK stage!
But with space for only half the Acts to make it through to the Semi-Finals (plus one sneaky Steal to play for), our singers had to perform their hearts - and lungs - out, and our Coaches had some seriously difficult decisions to make about which Acts to take through! Take a look at all the pics.
Another Battle made better by the presence of our wonderful presenter Emma Willis.
First up was Grace Holden and Chantelle Padden, who delivered a beautiful performance of Kelly Clarkson's 'Breakaway' for Team Olly.
And Grace couldn't believe her ears when Olly took her through!
We couldn't help but take notice when Janel Antoneshia went up against Okulaja with a powerful performance of Nas featuring Lauryn Hill's 'If I Ruled The World'.
A gracious Janel took her Semi-Final spot with Team Will.
Next, Esther Cole and Midé brought us 'Happier' by Bastille for Team Tom.
And Midé was thrilled to keep his place in the Welsh icon's Team.
Jason Hayles and Meg Birch owned the stage with their version of Rudimental featuring Jess Glynne and Macklemore’s ‘These Days’ - a perfect song choice for this pair!
Meg's almighty vocals did enough for Anne-Marie to take her through...
But it was smiles all round when Olly used the last remaining Steal to keep Jason in the competition!
Wura and Jake O'Neill brought their beautifully unique vocals and delivered an utterly gorgeous version of Marvin Gaye’s ‘What’s Going On’.
Despite blowing us all away with her delicious voice, Wura was still stunned to fight out she was the winner of the Battle!
It was a performance to remember from Craig Eddie and James Robb, who sang for their lives with their version of Sam Fischer’s ‘This City’, which we will be playing on repeat for the foreseeable!
Things got very real for our newest Coach Anne-Marie, who struggled to choose between the two talented Acts.
But it was Craig who took his place in the Semi-Final - via a big hug from his mum!
Pitch perfect musical theatre pros Matt Croke and Andrew Bateup blew the audience away with a mighty performance of Jon Bon Jovi's 'Always'.
And this time it was Olly who had a difficult decision on his hands after a brilliant Battle round.
The emotions were real for Andrew, who couldn't believe it when Olly gave him his ticket to the next round.
Next up for Team Anne-Marie, Leona Jørgensen went up against Cameron Ledwidge, and they put their own stamp on Ed Sheeran featuring Khalid's huge hit 'Beautiful People'.
Leona kept her cool but was rightly buzzing when she was declared the winner!
'Powerhouse' went next level as Adeniké and Victoria Heath took to the stage for Team Will. The super talented pair made light work of Whitney Houston's huge track 'Run To You', hitting notes we didn't even know existed!
It was a tough call, but Adeniké was declared the winner by her Coach!
Last to hit the Battle stage was Mariam Davina and Psalm Harmony with a delicious performance of 'Wonder' by Shawn Mendes.
Nothing but smiles from Mariam (and her very happy Dad!) when she found out she would be heading to the Semi-Finals!
