The David Power Jockeys Cup Key Details and Competition Rules

1. The David Power Jockeys Cup (DPJC) is a new competition for jump jockeys who ride in British jump races broadcast on ITV Racing during the core period of the 2024-2025 season.

2. The DPJC will start with the first ITV Race from Cheltenham on Friday 15th November 2024 and run until the last ITV race from Aintree shown on Friday 4th April 2025.

3. The DPJC is open to all professional and amateur jockeys licensed to ride in British national hunt or jump races (“Races”).

4. All jockeys participating in Races broadcast live on ITV (“ITV Races”) during the DPJC will accrue “Points” on the basis of the official finishing positions* set out below:

1st 10 points

2nd 8 points

3rd 6 points

4th 4 points

*as per official results published by the British Horseracing authority

5. Points will be aggregated from the results of all ITV Races during the DPJC, noting that any subsequent changes to the official results on the day of a Race will affect the relevant distribution of Points for that Race.

6. The top 10 jockeys with the most Points at the end of the DPJC will win prize money as set out in the table below.

7. The top 2 conditional jockeys with the most Points at the end of the DPJC will win prize money as set out in the table below. If either of the top 2 conditional jockeys also accrues enough points to be placed in the top 10 jockeys, that jockey (and associated trainer and stable staff) will win prize money for both relevant prizes.

8. The trainer who trains the most winners of ITV Races ridden by the relevant jockey with the most Points at the end of the DPJC will also win prize money as set out in the table below. If another trainer has trained the same number of winners as another for a relevant jockey, the trainer with the greater number of second places, third places and then fourth places will be the trainer who wins the prize money related to the relevant jockey.

9. The stable staff of the trainer who trains the most winners of ITV Races ridden by the relevant jockey with the most Points at the end of the DPJC will also win prize money as set out in the table below (see point 8 for outcome if 2 or more trainers have trained an equal number of winners for a relevant jockey.

10. In any case where the Points accrued by jockeys are the same at the end of the DPJC, the applicable prize money will be shared on an equal basis between the applicable jockeys, trainers and stable staff.

11. All prize money will be paid by POWER LEISURE BOOKMAKERS LIMITED within 30 days of Friday 4th April 2025.

12. The promoter of the DPJC is Power Leisure Bookmakers Limited, One Chamberlain Square Cs, Birmingham, B3 3AX (“Promoter”).

13. The Promoter shall not be liable for any interruption to the DPJC whether due to force majeure or other factors beyond the Promoter’s control.

14. The Promoter reserves the right, acting reasonably and in accordance with all relevant legislation and codes of practice, to vary the terms and conditions of the DPJC.

15. The Promoter's decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome of the DPJC.

16. The Promoter and any of its partners associated in the running or promotion of the DPJC accept no liability for any consequence, whether direct or indirect, that may arise from participation in the DPJC.

17. The DPJC and these terms and conditions are governed by English Law.
