Lynch delaying Cheltenham decision on Zabana
Trainer Andrew Lynch will hang fire on making a decision on which race Zabana tackles at Cheltenham next week until he sees what way the ground is at Prestbury Park.
The eight-year-old gelding holds entries in both the Ryanair Chase and the Timico Gold Cup at the Festival.
Lynch is hoping for a dry week next week in Gloucestershire as his charge has shown his best form on a sound surface.
Zabana was a Grade One winner at Punchestown last season but was well held in the Lexus Chase when last seen at Leopardstown over Christmas.
"We just haven't made out minds up yet. We don't know which one we are going to go for yet," said Lynch.
"We're just going to leave it a while to see what way the ground is.
"We want good ground - decent ground is important to him.
"They are giving it good to soft at the minute, but they are supposed to get a dry week next week, so we'd be hoping it would be decent ground."
